Chiller
A chiller is a thermal machine that uses the compression and expansion of particular gases, called refrigerant gases (such as: freon HFC, natural gas or ammonia etc.), to cool a fluid, most often water or water mixed with antifreeze liquids such as glycol or similar.
Depending on the application, they can be equipped with special options:
- free cooling;
- partial heat recovery;
- total heat recovery;
- pumping unit;
- special condensing coils (aluminium, copper, steel, cataphoresis painting);
- scroll, screw, inverter screw, turbo compressors;
- supersilenced.
They are commonly used in the process industry and in industrial temperature control applications, where the production process requires reaching and maintaining constant, very low temperatures and high cooling levels, with very precise RH ranges.
